NOAA Weather Radio is a nationwide network of radio stations broadcasting continuous weather information direct from a nearby National Weather Service office. NOAA Weather Radio broadcasts National Weather Service warnings, watches, forecasts and other hazard information 24 hours a day.
The Southern Agricultural Research Center at Huntley, Montana, cooperates with the National Weather Service to provide web access of NOAA Weather Radio broadcasts originating from the NWS regional office in Billings, Montana. These broadcasts report on weather conditions and forecasts for Big Horn, Carbon, Stillwater and Yellowstone counties in south central Montana. Access requires a computer equipped with a sound card and speakers, and requires installation of the basic RealPlayer utility available at http://www.real.com.
